How did you begin your faith walk? I grew up going to church and had many great encounters with God as a child. However, I went through a rebellious and troubled period in my early teens. At 15, I attended a youth rally with my youth group. During the service that night, I caught a glimpse of my life and the path I was on and knew God was giving me a chance to make a change before it was too late. That night, I heard the call of God in my life and I surrendered everything to Him. From that moment on, I have dedicated my life to following Him.
How do you maintain your relationship with God? Relationship with God is like every relationship, it takes regular communication to grow. I spend time throughout each day talking with God and listening for His voice. I spend time studying the Bible which is His written Word. When we get together as a church to worship God, look at His Word, and serve shoulder to shoulder, we all grew in faith, understanding, and closeness with God. Finally, I have dedicated times alone where I seek God in prayer, meditation, and the Bible.

How did you begin your faith walk? I made the decision to follow Jesus when I was 18 years old. The Youth Pastor of the church I attended was singing “That’s What This Altar Is For” and I couldn’t deny that God was speaking to my heart, calling me to accept Him into my life. I wanted to be all in with my relationship with Jesus because he saved me from a life of destruction.
How do you maintain your relationship with God? I communicate with Jesus daily by praying and reading His Word and taking the time to listen to Him.
