Kids Ministries

Church services designed just for kids...

Children are at various learning stages. Rather than have them grapple with trying to sit still and understand the adult service, we wish to provide them with their own service taught at their own learning level. The Sparks and Kids Ignited services are solely concerned with helping our kids to learn more about Christ and to grow as young Christians, with a lot of fun thrown in. The Sparks join Kids Ignited for worship in Room 210 each Sunday morning. This is a time of energetic and high-energy praise and worship where kids can really worship God in their own way. We hope that kids want to come to church because they not only enjoy their time here, but because they find it meaningful and enriching.

Who can participate in Capital City Church’s Kids Ministries and programs?

Children grades Pre-K-5th grades are invited to learning activities designed just for them.

Sparks is for children 3 1/2 years old — Kindergarten. Parents should come to pick up their children after the service is over.

  • Begins at 10:00 in the Preschool Room on the first floor

Kids Ignited is for kids in 1st-5th grades. They will be invited to come downstairs at the end of service unless their parents desire otherwise.

  • Begins at 10:00 in Room 210 on the second floor

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered from 9:00-9:50 AM each Sunday for kids of all ages. Children’s Sunday School is more than an hour of Bible study at church. It’s the foundation to support a child’s life. It’s about beginnings—starting to recognize the Bible as more than just a book carried to church. It’s learning to respond to others with attitudes and actions of love and respect.

It’s discovering a conscience — knowing what’s right and wrong based on what the Bible says. It’s believing that when you pray, God is listening. Most importantly, it’s about learning to love others because God first loved us.

  • PreK/Kindergarten (ages 3 1/2-6) - Preschool Room
  • Primary (grades 1-2) - Room 109
  • Middler (grades 3-4) - Room 107
  • Pre-Teen (grade 5) - Room 210
